Sticky Partners with the Municipality of Princeton, NJ
The Arts Council and the Municipality of Princeton, NJ have been working together to provide design and implementation services for the re-opening of downtown Princeton, and reconfiguration of Witherspoon Street. The Arts Council of Princeton took on a number of tasks associated with the project such as, creating social distancing markers, painting and decorating concrete blocks used as barriers for outdoor dining areas, providing signage, and building partitions for restaurants.
As part of this project they enlisted Vermont sticker company, Sticky Brand to print 250 vintage artwork inspired outdoor decals which can now be seen throughout the town. The goal: to create social distancing markers that allow residents and visitors to safely enjoy their downtown while promoting art and local artists.
The town and Arts Council of Princeton wanted to involve the community in creating the decals which are both instrumental to public health as well as interesting to look at. They have offered businesses in Princeton the decals free of charge, all part of an effort to support local business. “Sticky Brand was instrumental in creating the custom social distancing decals. The decals are durable enough to place on the sidewalks around town, yet also capture the quality of the art itself,” said Jim Levine, Interim Executive Director, Arts Council of Princeton.
The decals are made from Sticky Brands Bombproof+ product material, and can withstand heavy outdoor traffic for 3-6 months. They are easy to remove and clean which makes them a favorite among small business owners and municipalities alike. The decals are fully customizable— they can be printed in any color, shape and size. All custom stickers are approved by the client before production and reviewed by our house designers and quality assurance department before being shipped.
