We are seeking a self-motivated and skilled Accounting Manager to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the financial records of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, monthly close and timely reporting.

Salary based on experience: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Responsibilities and Duties:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process, including tracking credit card transactions, billing, invoicing, deposits, cash receipts, final payments, and payroll, ensuring timely and accuracy in coding.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online
Manage Chart of Accounts and expense coding
Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, sales tax, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
Process bi-weekly payroll, including review and approval of electronic timecards, onboarding new employees, and maintaining accurate employee records.
Purchase office supplies and equipment and maintain proper stock levels.
Engage with local government agencies such as Department of Taxes, Department of Labor, etc. to file reports and support compliance with all laws and regulations in support of business operations.
Monitor financial transactions and reports, track budgets, prepare financial statements and summaries regularly.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Process accounts receivable and payable.
Coordinate with other departments and staff.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Communicate important information to the management team
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent.
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks Online, and Avalara
Strong understanding of sales and use tax.
Vendor negotiation
Fixed Asset management
Prepare and maintain related government remittances and filings
Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and make a plan to resolve them
Setup tax-exempt customers in Avalara
Conduct month end inventory count
Perform margin analysis
Strong technical bookkeeping skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, 3-5 years preferred.
Ability to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.

Physical Requirement & Work Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and sit/stand at a desk for long periods of time. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances.
